TooManyTabs has been one of the most popular extensions for Firefox and the makers have now ported it onto Google Chrome. TMT for Chrome comes with these features –

– Birdeye view of all tabs open across all windows
– Preview of each tab (filled up gradually)
– Instant tab search upon opening
– Tab sorting by time, name and URL
– Tab count to warn you of tab overflow
– Allows “suspension” of tabs to a column and “restore” later to reduce overflow of tabs
– Provides a list of Recently Closed Tabs for guiltless tab closing
Click the extension’s toolbar button (or tap control + ~) and the window above appears. Not only does it present thumbnails of all your open tabs, but there’s also a search option and three ways to sort: alphabetically, by tab creation time, and grouped by website. Here is the official demo video
