Here are the two ways you can delete auto-suggested URLs from Mozilla Firefox:

• Type in the URL you want to delete in the address bar, or part of the URL
• Using your arrow keys, navigate to the URL you want to delete
• Press Delete or Shift + Delete to remove the entry

This option is similar to what Google Chrome users have to do in order to delete URLs from the auto-suggested list, and for Firefox users, the same process can be used to delete search queries from the Google Search bar.

The other method of deleting a auto-suggested website from Mozilla Firefox can be done via the History Window, which allows users to delete all instances of a website, in the case they have visited more pages on that domain. To accomplish this, users will have to follow these simple steps:

• Open Mozilla Firefox
• Click on the “Firefox” button from the upper left corner
• Click in the “History” button and the Library window will appear
• Use the search bar to lookup the website you wish to remove

Delete auto-suggested URLs on Internet Explorer

In the off-chance that some of you out there are still using Internet Explorer, and you want to delete individual auto-suggested URLs from the address bar, here is a quick guide on how to do this. The process is the same as for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, and on top of this, there are some options to limit or disable auto-suggest completely from Internet Explorer. For the purpose of this demonstration, we’ll be using Internet Explorer 11, which most of you will have installed on their computers.

• Open Internet Explorer
• In the address bar, start typing the URL you want to delete
• Using your arrow keys, navigate to the URL you wish to remove
• When the desired URL is highlighted, hit the Delete key on your keyboard
• Optional: Using your mouse pointer, click the “x” button which can be found in line with the link you want to delete

Alternatively, there is another option which allows you to customize when auto-suggest kicks in, or provide the option to completely turn this feature off. To access these options, all you need to do is follow these steps:

• From the upper right corner of Internet Explorer, click the gear icon
• From the drop-down menu, select “Internet Options“
• In the Internet Options window which appears, select the “Content” tab
• There, you will see the Auto-Complete option, click the “Settings” button

This will open a window where you can either disable this option completely, customize where auto-complete will be present or delete the current auto-complete history.
