[How to] Jailbreak iOS 4.0.1 on iPhone 4, 3GS New Bootrom with JailbreakMe 2.0 Star

The iPhone Dev team developer, Comex has just released JailbreakMe 2.0 (Star) tool to jailbreak iPhone 4, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS (including new bootrom) running iOS 4/4.0.1 firmwares. Though, one must note that this does not work with iOS 4.1 Beta release. JailbreakMe 2.0 is a userland jailbreak, similar to Spirit, which means you run it right in your iOS Safari browser and it will jailbreak the device. How simple is that?!
Just follow these step-by-step instructions in order to jailbreak your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G device. One thing which is important to note here is that this jailbreak tool doesn’t hacktivate your device. You will need an original supported SIM card to activate your phone with iTunes. (Update: If you do not have original SIM, follow this video guide from RP to activate without original SIM)
