Zauba Listing Confirms 5.1-inch Display for Samsung Galaxy S7 and 5.5-inch for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Zauba has always been helpful when it comes to tracking new phones import into India. The very fact that upcoming phones are imported in a small number for testing purpose is helpful in unearthing specifications of the same. The model numbers of the two new phones imported into the country give away the fact that they are Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930R4) and the S7 Edge (SM-G935R4).

The listing further depicts that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be coming with a 5.1-inch display while the Galaxy Edge will be equipped with a slightly larger 5.5-inch display. This falls in line with the specifications that was listed in a recent AnTuTu benchmark test. Both the displays are expected to resolve at a QHD resolution.
The Zauba listing spotted first by NapiDroid says that two units of both the models have been shipped to India for testing with the IMEI number masked. The Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge are both valued at $351 and since they are testing units, the prices literally don’t point at anything. The previous spottings of the upcoming Samsung flagships was on the AnTuTu benchmarks and it is still unclear if Samsung would actually go in with the Snapdragon 820 or will remain exclusive to the Exynos. It is very likely that Samsung might accommodate both the SoC in separate variants, just like how they did with the Galaxy S5 .
Samsung would be pulling the wraps from the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge on February 21st during the Samsung Unpacked 2016 event which will be held at MWC in Barcelona. This time around, Samsung is expected to bump up the camera and also some of its innards but on the design aspect it would be safe for us to expect minimal changes as the Galaxy S6 was designed from scratch.
