Motorola Moto X Force Launched in India at Rs 49,999 , Features a ShatterProof Display and Snapdragon 810

Motorola has pulled the wraps from the Moto X Force in India and the phone is currently priced at Rs 49,999 (~$737) for the 32GB version. The 64GB variant is priced at Rs 53,999. As one might have observed, Motorola is rebranding the International phone variants and reintroducing them in the Indian market. The Moto X Force is a rebranded version of the Droid Turbo 2 which was launched last year.

The Moto X Force owes its name to the shatterproof display which has been the talk of the town for quite a while and it sure does seem to be indestructible. So confident is Motorola, that they are offering a stunning 4 year warranty on the display – an offer we have never heard before in this segment. The Moto X Force would be a step up from the Moto X Style which was also released last year. The Moto X Force comes with a 5.4-inch WQHD display and will come powered by the Snapdragon 810 coupled with 3GB of RAM. On the storage front the device will end up offering 32GB/64GB of memory along with a memory card slot that would further accommodate up to 200GB of memory.

Imaging wise, the Moto X Force is much similar to its siblings as it borrows the 21-Megapixel primary sensor from Sony and the 5-Megapixel front camera. The Moto X Force will feature the usual set of connectivity features including 4G LTE and Dual SIM support.
Motorola are also expected to talk about the availability of Moto Maker a customisation feature which would allow buyers to customise their phones, a service that is quiet popular with the US buyers. This would add a dash of uniqueness for the Motorola phones and it would also be interesting to see how well the users will respond to it. The 3760mAh battery pack along with the Turbo Charging feature will ensure that the Moto X Force battery backup lasts for a more than a day of usage.
At Rs 50k, the Moto X Force is a premium smartphone and this inadvertently puts it in the league of other stalwarts including the Nexus 6P and the iPhone 6S, and that makes it look overpriced. The Moto X Force will be available starting from February 8th on Flipkart, Amazon and others including offline stores like Croma and Spice Hotspot – an interesting change over Motorola’s earlier strategy of being Flipkart exclusive. On a separate note, if you fancy a drop test here are the folks at CNET trying their hands and hammers on the Moto X Force (Droid Turbo 2) .

Some of the items that were ranked at the top of that list have definitely made us think twice before making a call or looking up updates on Facebook. The keyboard on which you typed to get to this page, or the touchscreen that you swipe on are some of the most bacteria-rich items in your household, so keeping these squeaky clean should be a top priority. While there are lots of methods and products for cleaning these items, most of us ignore this. How similar do you find this scenario: Your smartphone’s screen is really dirty, so you rub it on your shirt, or a piece of cloth that’s close by, or you remember that it’s been some time since you’ve cleaned your keyboard, so you turn it upside down and give it a few slaps. Most of us use this (or a very similar) technique and think “Now it’s clean!”, but the truth of the matter is that it’s j...
