LeTV Globally Gets Rebranded to LeEco, Expected to Launch Le Max and Le 1s in India on Jan 20

Ever heard of the Shakespeare’s quote what’s there in a name? Well phone manufacturers think otherwise and after the confusion surrounding Motorola, LeTV will be doing the same. LeTV will now be called LeEco and the tagline goes like this- “A New Eco World”, the company has also redesigned its logo and it seems to be increasingly focusing on its ecosystem.

The new logo is made of interconnected letter “L” and “E” which obviously stands for Le Ecosystem and the interconnected letter represents a closely knit ecosystem. The re-branding has also prompted the Chinese company to change its website domain name from LeTV.com to Le.com. Le has now eliminated the usage of the word TV from all its main and sub branding.
At the occasion, Ablikim Ablimit, Vice President of Strategy said that “Letv is where we started, but LeEco is our future” he further added that “We will create a more beautiful eco world with new value for our users, and our brand-new logo will bring users into this exciting world.
LeEco will be making a foray into the Indian market on January 20th with the Le Max smartphone and is also expected to launch the Le 1s at the same event. LeEco had earlier started out as an Online video company and in due course of time, smartphone became one of its most important verticals. The Le 1, Le 1 Pro and the Le Max all of them were actually the first lot of devices to come with a USB Type-C. Incidentally, Qualcomm announced earlier this month at CES that Le Max Pro will be the first smartphone to come with the Snapdragon 820.
The Le 1S is a powerful mid range phone that comes equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD display and is powered by the MediaTak Helio x10 Turbo and a generous 3GB of RAM. The Le Max phone on the other hand is a top of the line device powered by the Snapdragon 810 coupled with a 4GB of RAM and 6.33-inch WQHD display. Both the phones are expected to offer a great value for money proposition just like the handful of other Chinese phones in the Indian market.

Some of the items that were ranked at the top of that list have definitely made us think twice before making a call or looking up updates on Facebook. The keyboard on which you typed to get to this page, or the touchscreen that you swipe on are some of the most bacteria-rich items in your household, so keeping these squeaky clean should be a top priority. While there are lots of methods and products for cleaning these items, most of us ignore this. How similar do you find this scenario: Your smartphone’s screen is really dirty, so you rub it on your shirt, or a piece of cloth that’s close by, or you remember that it’s been some time since you’ve cleaned your keyboard, so you turn it upside down and give it a few slaps. Most of us use this (or a very similar) technique and think “Now it’s clean!”, but the truth of the matter is that it’s j...
