All that we Know About the Upcoming iPad Pro and the iPad Mini 4

It’s a well known secret that Apple will be pulling the wraps from iPhone 6S later today, but this has shadowed the fact that they will also be unveiling a pair of new iPads alongside the iPhone 6S. iPad Pro and a new iPad Mini are all set to join Apple’s tablet family. This time as well, Apple seems to be focusing on the features aspect of the biz and it’s expected to offer well equipped baseline versions for the iPads.

Storage and Availability

Traditionally, iPad offering started with a 16GB storage capacity but this seems to change with the iPad Pro. Apple has taken the Pro tag seriously and even the base version will offer features accordingly. 9to5Mac further reported that the iPad Pro might hit the stores only towards the end of the year, thanks to the lag in the production schedule.
The base model of the iPad Pro is most likely to come with a 64GB storage and the other variants will include a 128GB model. Although Apple will be announcing the device today and open the pre-orders in October it is very unlikely that the first lot of shipment will reach the consumers before end of November. On the contrary, the base pricing of the iPad Pro will be sky high as they are not offering smaller memory options.

Operating System

iPad Pro will run the iOS 9.x and will ship in Gold, Silver and Space Grey color schemes. The iPad Pro is most likely to support Apple-designed Bluetooth keyboard, which will bring it a step closer to the MacBooks. The high end iPad Pro with LTE chips may cost all the way up to $1000 making its way into the MacBook territory. That being said, it seems easy enough for us to convert the iPad Pro into a full fledged laptop with the Bluetooth Keyboard, similar to the Microsoft’s Surface.
The iPad Pro will be equipped with a massive (by tablet standards) 12.9-inch display, which along with the landscape split-screen mode will allow users to access two iPad portrait screens and this feature will help users multi task with relative ease and increased productivity. At the heart of the iPad Pro will be a A9X chip, succeeding the A8X on iPad Air 2 and will come with four stereo speakers.

Features Galore

iPad Pro is most likely to support Apple-designed Bluetooth keyboard, which will bring it a step closer to the MacBooks. Force Touch might seem as an insignificant feature, but the fact that it supports stylus input adds a whole new dimension to the way we perceive iPad’s functionality. Irony is that Apple had instigated against the Stylus earlier, but it seems to have decided to move on with time and embrace the change. The pressure sensitive stylus will not be bundled with the device and is most likely to be sold separately.

iPad Mini 4

iPad Mini 4 is most likely to borrow the 7.9-inch screen from its predecessor but the tablet is expected to be sleeker and more compact, on the lines of iPad Air 2. It is still uncertain on whether the company would be equipping the iPad Mini 4 with force touch. iPad Mini 4 is expected to go for sale at $399 which is at par with the current generation of iPad Mini. As we already talked earlier both the tablets are most likely to ship only in the month of November.
